Policies & Fees

At Neurodiversity Affirming Therapy & Wellness Center, I believe clear, upfront policies help create safety and trust. My goal is for you to always know what to expect — no surprises, just transparency. I know that starting therapy is an investment of both time and money, and I want everything about this process to feel clear and respectful. These policies are here not as “fine print,” but to give you a sense of what to expect so you can focus on your healing without uncertainty.

Session Fees

  • Individual Therapy (55–60 minutes): $225

  • Assessments: Rates vary depending on the level of assessment. You’ll receive a clear breakdown before scheduling so you can make an informed decision.

Payment is due at the time of service.

Insurance & Accessibility

  • My practice is primarily private pay so I can keep services flexible and personalized.

  • To ensure accessibility, I reserve a limited number of spots for Medicaid, Medicare, and sliding-scale clients.

  • If you have out-of-network benefits, you may be able to use Thrizer, which lets you pay only your estimated copay while they handle reimbursement with your insurance provider.

Payment Methods

  • Payments are made securely through the client portal.

  • Credit, debit, and HSA/FSA cards are all accepted.

  • If a payment doesn’t go through, you’ll simply be asked to update your information before the next session.

Cancellations & Missed Sessions

Life can be unpredictable — I understand. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 24 hours’ notice so your spot can be offered to someone else.

  • No shows or cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice half the the full session rate.

  • Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may affect your ability to keep a reserved spot.

  • Sessions start and end at the scheduled time. If you arrive late, we’ll still need to finish on time, and the full fee applies.

Assessments

Assessments are meant to give you clarity, understanding, and personalized recommendations. They can be an important step toward self-awareness, accommodations, or support.

However, it’s important to know that completing an assessment here does not guarantee approval for Social Security Disability (SSD) benefits, educational accommodations, or other programs. Each of those has its own process and requirements. I’ll always provide thorough documentation, but the decision rests with the reviewing agency or institution.

Good Faith Estimate (No Surprises Act)

You have the right to a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of expected costs before services begin. This estimate will always be provided up front and is available anytime you’d like one.

Holidays & Office Closures

I observe standard U.S. holidays and occasionally take time away for professional training. You’ll always be notified in advance if sessions are impacted.

Crisis Support

While therapy provides ongoing support, this practice cannot respond to emergencies.

If you are in crisis:

  • Call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline)

  • Dial 911

  • Or go to your nearest emergency department
