Neurodiversity-Affirming Adult Autism & ADHD Assessments
Telehealth Service Areas: MN, FL, and AZ
If you’ve spent years feeling different, misunderstood, or unsure why life seems harder for you than for others, you’re not alone. Many adults reach this point after a lifetime of masking, pushing through, or being misdiagnosed. You may be wondering:
“Am I autistic?”
“Could this be ADHD?”
“Why has everything felt so confusing?”
You deserve answers that feel safe, affirming, and grounded in your real lived experience—not dismissive judgments or rushed labels.
A thoughtful assessment can turn years of confusion into clarity. It’s not about finding something “wrong” with you. It’s about finally having language for your experiences and a roadmap for building a life that works with your brain.
My Approach
My assessments are neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and designed specifically for adults who were overlooked, misunderstood, or misdiagnosed earlier in life. Autism and ADHD aren’t treated as deficits—they’re natural variations in human neurobiology.
Every assessment includes validated evaluation tools, a comprehensive written report, and a collaborative feedback session where we process the results together. You’ll never be asked to defend your struggles or minimize your needs. Your story is the foundation of the process.
Secure telehealth platform allows comprehensive assessments to adults physically located in Minnesota (MN), Florida (FL), and Arizona (AZ). All sessions are conducted virtually.
Who Seeks Assessment?
People typically reach out when they:
• Recognize themselves in autism or ADHD content
• Have masked for years and are ready to understand why they’re exhausted
• Previously misdiagnosed with anxiety, depression, BPD, bipolar, etc.
• Want clarity after lifelong feelings of being “different”
• Need documentation for accommodations, therapy, or advocacy
• Want to stop guessing and finally understand their brain
If you’re here, there’s a reason. Your questions matter. And you deserve answers.
How a Neurodiversity-Affirming Assessment Can Support You
A neurodiversity-affirming assessment can help you:
• Understand your brain through a clear, compassionate lens
• Gain clarity on whether autism, ADHD, or both are part of your story
• Validate lifelong experiences of difference, struggle, or masking
• Identify patterns that explain your strengths and challenges
• Reframe difficulties as differences—not deficiencies
• Find language for experiences you’ve never been able to explain
• Access supports, accommodations, and strategies that actually help
• Feel relief from years of “What’s wrong with me?”
• Begin unmasking and living more authentically
• Advocate for yourself at work, school, and in relationships
• Build a roadmap for thriving, not just coping
Every story deserves to make sense. Assessment can give you that clarity.
Assessment Options
Here’s a clear breakdown of the available paths, depending on the level of clarity and documentation you need.
Autism/ADHD Screening – $675
Perfect for: “I just want to know if I’m autistic or have ADHD.”
A two-session process designed for clarity without the depth or documentation of a full evaluation. We explore your developmental history, daily experiences, and patterns of masking and coping.
Includes standardized measures such as:
• Autism Spectrum Quotient (AQ)
• RAADS-R
• Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale (ASRS)
• Weiss Functional Impairment Rating Scale (WFIRS)
You’ll receive a written summary and a collaborative feedback session explaining your results.
Choose this if: You want clarity and validation, but don’t need documentation for accommodations.
Complete Autism/ADHD Evaluation – $900
Perfect for: “I need a formal diagnosis for accommodations or support.”
A structured three-session evaluation that provides a clear, defensible diagnosis for workplace, academic, medical, or therapeutic purposes.
Uses comprehensive tools such as:
• MIGDAS (autism interview)
• DIVA-5 (ADHD diagnostic interview)
• Additional validated measures tailored to your presentation
You'll receive a detailed diagnostic report, followed by a feedback session where we review results, process emotions, and discuss next steps.
Choose this if: You need accurate diagnostic clarity and formal documentation.
Comprehensive Diagnostic Assessment – $1,125
Perfect for: “My story is complex. I need answers that consider everything.”
A four-session deep dive for individuals with overlapping or confusing presentations, such as:
• Trauma
• Anxiety
• Depression
• OCD
• Sensory processing differences
• Past misdiagnoses
This process integrates autism, ADHD, and co-occurring conditions into one cohesive understanding of your experience. The final report reflects the full complexity of your story.
Choose this if: You want the most in-depth analysis or have a complicated diagnostic history.
Giftedness / Twice-Exceptionality Add-On – $125
For those navigating the intersection of high ability and neurodivergence.
Uses tools like the GRS-2 to explore how giftedness interacts with autism or ADHD—and how strengths and struggles coexist. Many twice-exceptional adults feel “too much and not enough” at the same time. This add-on helps make sense of that paradox.
What to Expect
Before We Begin:
You’ll complete a brief consultation so we can identify the right package. Intake forms and questionnaires can be completed at your own pace.
During the Assessment:
All sessions take place via secure telehealth. Depending on your package, we’ll meet across 2–4 sessions, giving you space to process without pressure or overwhelm.
After the Sessions:
I complete a thorough analysis of your results and write a comprehensive report—not a quick template, but an integrated understanding of your story.
Feedback Session:
We’ll meet for a dedicated conversation where I walk you through every part of your results in a clear, supportive way. You’ll have space to ask questions, process emotions, and understand how your strengths, patterns, and challenges fit together. This session is collaborative and grounding — it’s where everything comes together and you can begin imagining what life can look like with this new clarity.
Still Not Sure Which Option Fits?
• “Am I autistic or ADHD?” → Autism/ADHD Screening
• “I need formal accommodation documentation.” → Complete Autism/ADHD Evaluation
• “My story has multiple complex layers and past misdiagnoses.” → Comprehensive Diagnostic Assessment
During your consultation, we’ll talk through your goals and choose the path that feels right for you.
Why Assessment Matters
Assessment offers more than answers—it offers relief, language, and direction. Clients often describe the process as:
• Feeling seen for the first time
• Understanding lifelong patterns
• Releasing shame
• Letting go of the belief that they’re “too much” or “not enough”
• Finding a framework that finally makes sense
• Opening the door to accommodations, community, and support
A diagnosis doesn’t define you. It clarifies you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a formal diagnosis to benefit from an assessment?
No. Many people seek assessment for personal clarity, not documentation. The Screening option is ideal for this.
Should I get an assessment first, or start with therapy?
Either option works. Some clients want diagnostic clarity first. Others prefer to begin therapy and pursue assessment later. We can discuss what’s best during your free consultation.
How long does the assessment process take?
Most assessments take 3–4 weeks from first session to receiving your report, depending on the package and complexity.
How much do assessments cost?
Assessment fees are flat rates, depending on the package you choose. Most clients don’t pay the full fee because I accept insurance as an out-of-network provider through Thrizer. With Thrizer, you pay only your estimated copay after your deductible is met, and they handle all billing and reimbursement directly with your insurance. More details about Thrizer and out-of-network benefits are available on my FAQ page.
To support accessibility, I also offer payment plans and accept HSA/FSA.
